I love how The Linkery does this. I also really want this type of label on food from the store. I am loving the La Jolla farmers' market because I can chat with each vendor and find out where their farms are located, how the food is grown, and have a sample. Even sticking to Trader Joe's and Henry's, I rarely know where my food is coming from. I'd love little labels like, "Grown in Pasadena, CA" or "Raised in Iowa", as well as "Fed ..." for meat and poultry. I'd like to hope that we are moving toward this. Even if not, I think that by being a food snob, I can expect a bit of this because of places like The Linkery. I wish all restaurants included on the menu where their food comes from.
