San Diego Local Food Google Map

I just started compiling (cartographing?) this Google map of places to find local San Diego food based on the awesome research by Melanie Lytle at Livin la vida local. (Props also to Mike Wachs for inspiring me with his map of everything awesome in Austin.) I’ve only got restaurants in there so far, but I plan to add farmer’s markets, CSAs, and other places to find the best food this beautiful region has to offer.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for places to add. If we—as a community—get our act together, this map will eventually be loaded with great places to get local, healthy, sustainably produced food.

  2. Nicely done. I’ll try to remember these places when the “where shall we eat?” question comes up.

CSAs with their pickup points (or delivery areas for those who deliver) would be a wonderful addition.
