There’s a Jungle Just Outside My Room

I took this picture from my bed in Copacabana when I awoke.

I’m too spent. I have a new room with a big wall facing a steep hill covered in jungle. Critters chirp all over the trees at night and I get to pretend I live in the countryside when I sleep. The hill drips water into a concrete foundation between the building and the hill. The drips and drops echo their sounds up the building and I hear a light rain all the time. I have nothing on the walls and I like it. There’s a big white bed in the middle of the room. There’s a small table next to it. The building is two blocks from the beach. I’m going to go back there now.
